The best of the estancia is the outstanding team of people that collaborate every day to make your experience absolutely outstanding. Leo and Ornella in the Kitchen and Maxi “the Gaucho” who organizes the horseback ridings or Cabalgatas. My wife and I went with our two young Children ages 11 and 8 and they were patient, accommodating and caring. They organized great cooking classes in very short order and our youngest son developed a love for horses that I am sure he will carry for life. I cannot thank you enough. The hotel facilities strike the right balance without being over the top, which we did find truly charming indeed.
This is an amazing estancia (ranch) just 45 minutes for the Cordoba AR (COR) airport. Cordoba is the second largest city in Argentina, but you’re definitely well out in the country. We scheduled our stay (5 nights) to “unwind” from an active hiking/biking trip in the Lakes District in northern Patagonia. We made the right call. The people and service couldn’t be better, the location is awesome and the activities are excellent. We’ve ridden horses every day, under the watchful care of Maxi, our gaucho. The horseback riding is incredible among the pampas, with hills in the distance. Tomorrow we’re riding for a picnic along the river.
A truly outstanding experience. The thoughtfulness of the team and quality of their service has significantly raised the bar for future holidays. A stunning place with indulgence at every turn, including a number of the best culinary treats ever tasted. Add to this the beautiful, top calibre horses and you can see why we are recommending it to everyone.
As other reviewers have said this is a truly outstanding place. Attentive staff with great food and wines. Riding and polo lessons were amazing. Well worth the trip from Cordobo so we highly recommend coming here. It is not cheap but is worth every penny for a special experience. Only problem is that there is too much good food !
Beautiful place! Food fantastic with the best carne asada we had on our trip. Very relaxing, superb service and the owners were delightful. We did wine tasting, rode horses, picnic and really enjoyed ourselves. Great staff of people that didn’t miss a thing. Don’t miss it…highly recommended.
Wonderful hotel on the countryside with amazing food and excellent service. Our family had beautiful horseback rides around the estancia everyday. The rooms are very spacious and immaculately decorated, as well as the bathrooms. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Stephanie and Raoul, who made us feel very much at home. The hotel manager planned our Vigilia de Pascua (Mass before Easter Day) which was beautiful, at a 1600’s jesuit church in nearby Santa Catalina.
This is for us one of the few truly exceptional places in the world, a fabulous experience not to be missed. Nothing negative to report and everything positive is amply described here by other travellers so no need to repeat it. One minor word of advice, if you travel there with your own transport, once you have left Jesus Maria on the road to the Jesuit Church of Santa Catalina
(ask, nothing is signposted) don’t look for a “Colibri” sign, there is none. As soon as you see a luxurious entry and fence on your right hand side that is it. This certainly has a purpose but which?

To the El Colibri, words won’t do this place or its people justice. Our short stay here has been filled with everything the picture perfect brochure promised : fantastic food, sunset horse-riding… Tank you for every moment. Hopefully see you again soon !
What a joy and a blessing it has been for us to experience El Colibri ! We absolutely love the beauty, the hospitelity that has been extended to us during our few short days here. We all loved the food and massages. We would love to return to this magnificent paradise !
We had a great stay here at El-Colibri. The nature is amazing and the food is delicious. Thanks for everything ! The kids loved the little pekalin, and the horses are extremely pretty. We hope to come back soon !
Thank you for allowing us to share your dream your masterpiece and such a glorious home ! The kindness of the people here, their smiles and softness are inspirational in this world of commercialisme and fast lane lif. There are few places left in the world which are true shangri-la, you leave the real world behind and live the dream. El Colibri is such a place and the happiness…
